NYFW

I know this post has been delayed for too long as NYFW was almost two months ago, but hey, it's better late than never right? I thought that since it was my first time attending NYFW, it is worth marking it down..

I was so thrilled and overwhelmed to received a few invitations and was able to go this year. Some of my favourite shows including Nicholas Kirkwood, Club Monaco and Claudia Li. I was invited last season but unfortunately I was in Bali at the time. This time I stayed in New York for the whole week as I have shows almost everyday and special thanks to Boro Hotel for hosting me the entire time. If you are looking for the perfect minimal boutique hotel just 10 minutes from Manhattan, this is the one . And remember to try their avocado or smoke salmon toast, I can't remember how many times I've ordered them :p

I went to 6 or 7 shows in total and skipped a few shows since the weather was insane and to be honest, I wasn't physically or mentally prepared for the week. First, I did not bring any coats, when you scroll down you can see I was wearing all spring pieces and if you followed NYFW you know there was a crazy snow storm. Second, since it was my first time, I did not know fashion week can be this tiring. It is definitely not what it looks like, all glamorous, all the parties and all the fun. In fact I wanted to go back home after just the first two day, and not surprisingly I skipped the third day and almost stay at hotel the entire day..

Between all the show, appointments, shootings and café hunting, it was definitely a crazy, stressful but also a fun experience. Till next time...
